Crew colours?

Hey guys,

Some crews have crew colours for clothing. Would you be interested in discussing a certain set of colours for the crew? If so, please post suggestions, and please be realistic - not everyone can afford to have black/gold clothing.

Alternatively, if you would be interested we could have a certain outfit (as in everyone has the same clothing combination, but people have their own colours).

hmm its fun, and i dont care what colours as long as it isnt lime or pink or something.

soooo, when do we know what the crew colours are?

well.. i vote for black/black. because i said so

I think we should pick something not very expensive so all (or at least most) of the crew members could buy it. I also suggest choose bright and unusual colors, so that everyone who'll see us would emedeatelly understand that we represent this crew.
I really don't want any boring colors.
For example:
Lime/Magenta
Aqua/Lime
Magenta/Purple
Orange/Lime........
Or something like that.

yea but most bright unusual colour combinations are ugly, so you could better grab a colourcombination that is nice, if there are 3 or 4 people with the same coloured clothes, they will see that we are from the same crew

Looking down the thread i've noticed that quite a few of you would like the colour white in the crew colours so I think that would be one colour.

Why do we have to pick anothr colour? I think White/Choice would be a good combination because theres freedom but somekind of consistency also.

that won't work, there are a lot of people with white in their clothes, our clothes have to be the same colour so they can see that we're from the same crew, that's where crew colours are about

Actually cappy it does. Let me put this into a suitation comparing the two.

Im standing on admiral dock on my own in the crew colours and I start talking to people and they have no indication that im part of X crew. However, when I start to ask my crew to join me, and there is 5 of us in the same circle people on the dock will start to notice that we are all wearing a combination of white/choice or set crew colour, they will 'oh there are part of the same club/crew or something'.

My point is, either will work because the only time crew colours come into effect is when you are in a group, the reason I recommended white/choice is so that crew members have freedom in their second choice, if there are set colours crew members may not like those colours, if its white/choice they will be able to pick a colour they like and be happy wearing that. If they are forced to a set scheme with no freedom they will either not wear it at all, or worse, leave the crew to a crew that has more freedom.

i don't think they will leave and when you wear white/marroon, they won't see that you are from the same crew if someone is standing next to you, in white/purple clothes, with other clothes, like, one wears feathered hat, swashbucklers, loose pants, fancy boots and the other wears musketeer hat, captains jacket, pantaloons and buckle shoes (i don't know that these parts fit with each other, just for example). then they won't see you in the dock as a group but then it's accidental that you are wearing all white/colour.

so, i would say, white/colour for the whole crew


By the way, white/aqua or aqua/white is awesome too

I want white and mint .. They're nice colours and not at all aimed at any particular gender

I think it does but at the end of the day Captain Pria has the decision on that, I will talk to her to post something on here about it.

I know from past experience (I've been wearing white/something for quite a while now - believe it or not, but I didn't always wear white/white :p) that sometimes you want white as the first colour and sometimes as the second colour - depending on the item of clothing and its design. So, if everyone wants to do white/something (Charmy's special, he's making his sheep wear white/something) I would say it's fine to wear white either as the first or the second colour - as long as white is still well visible. For example, if the white is just a trimming that's not really a dominant use of the colour. Um, please ask if I'm not clear.
